Xinity Nextcloud MCP
Gives AI agents access to your own Nextcloud files and mail, with exactly the permissions you choose. You sign in with your Xinity account and confirm every permission on the consent screen.
1. Choose permissions
2. Add it to Claude Code
Run this in a terminal:
Server URL, for other clients:
3. Sign in
- In Claude Code, run
/mcp, select the connection and choose Authenticate. - Your browser opens the Xinity sign-in. Sign in and check the permissions on the consent screen.
- Back in Claude Code, the tools of the chosen permissions are available.
Requirements
- Each permission must be enabled for your Xinity account by an admin. Without it, the permission is not granted, even if you request it and confirm it.
- Any MCP client can use the client id above if it signs in through a callback on localhost port 33418. Clients with another callback, such as web apps, need it registered by an admin first.
Revoking access
Open your Xinity account, go to Applications and remove the access. Removing the connection in Claude Code alone does not revoke it.
How it works
- The URL names the requested permissions. The token only grants what the URL requested, what you confirmed, and what an admin enabled for you.
- Your agent's token never reaches Nextcloud. The server exchanges it for a short lived Nextcloud token and checks every single request against the granted permissions.
- Files are never deleted. Mail is never sent; drafts wait in your Drafts folder for you to review and send. Mail is never deleted for good; at most it is moved to the trash.
